Welcome to my blog. Nice to see you!🤝

👨‍🎓 About Me

I am a PhD student at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, commencing in 2020 Fall. The current, I am working with Prof. Jiang Xu (HKUST) and co-advised by Prof. Yiran Chen (Duke). I received the B.E. degree in Optoelectronics from Sun Yat-sen University in 2020. 🎓

👨‍💻 Research Interests

This past year has seen a significant blossoming of discussions on the acceleration of AI. Three common myths pervade such discussions:

  1. novel computer architectures (e.g. in-memory computing)
  2. futuristic materials or paradigms (e.g. photonic processors)
  3. advanced scheduling algorithms (e.g. compiler optimization)

My research interests cover the photonic-enabled accelerator architectures for accelerating AI. Currently, I am engaged in the design of photonic-electronic hybrid computing system. My goal is to promote and tape-out a hardware prototype with developing a demo of corresponding software toolchains. Full stack dream! 🌈

🖥 Blog Contents

Since there is strict page limitation of academic papers, most of the details including background knowledge and derivation can hardly be illustrated comprehensively. Therefore, I put them into my blogs to serve as the supplementary materials. Hope it helps. 😃
